Senior mechanical engineering roles in London come in a few flavours. The large consultancy version tends to be high volume, process-heavy, and difficult to distinguish yourself in. The small practice version can be the opposite: isolated, limited in scope, and without the peer support that keeps you developing. Good roles exist between those extremes. This is one of them.

This is a senior mechanical design engineering role at a building services consultancy in North London. The practice is mid-sized, which means you will have genuine influence over the mechanical output on your projects without being lost in a corporate structure. The project mix includes commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments across London, at a level of complexity that will use your experience rather than undermine it.

You will be carrying design responsibility from early stage through to construction, with real client interaction and the kind of involvement in project decisions that a senior engineer should have. The team is small enough to be collaborative and experienced enough to support you technically.

If you are a chartered mechanical engineer at senior level, or very close to it, with a solid track record in building services design, and you are looking for a practice in North London where the work is interesting and your contribution is visible, this role is worth a conversation.
