Role & Responsibilities Carry out structural assessments, feasibility studies, and defect analysis on existing buildings
Design structural solutions for refurbishment, remediation, and strengthening projects
Lead investigations to identify structural issues and recommend repair strategies
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and clients to deliver project solutions
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with standards
Prepare technical reports and provide expert advice to clients
Support delivery of projects across residential, commercial, and healthcare sectors
Ensure compliance with building regulations and structural design standards
Skills & Experience Required Minimum five years post qualification experience within structural engineering roles
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with Chartered status or working towards
Experience working on refurbishment and remediation of existing buildings
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, British Standards, and Eurocodes Proficiency in structural design software including Tekla, TEDDS, and Microsoft Office Experience diagnosing building defects and developing remedial design solutions
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within programme requirements
Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
