Our team delivers geoscience and ground engineering projects for clients across the offshore wind sector, with a focus on marine site characterisation and the design of offshore wind foundations.
As a centre of excellence within Arup for offshore wind engineering, our highly skilled UK team supports projects across the globe, working with major developers, collaborating with technical specialists across disciplines, and partnering closely with research institutions.

tr th {}This is an opportunity to join a growing, high-performing team applying your geotechnical expertise to some of the most challenging and exciting offshore wind projects in the sector. You will contribute to the interpretation of ground investigation data, support geotechnical design for fixed and floating offshore wind foundations, and help deliver innovative, sustainable and technically robust solutions for our clients.
This is a client-facing role where understanding our clients’ objectives will be key to your success. You will work as part of multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with colleagues across geotechnics, structural engineering, offshore engineering, numerical modelling and sustainability to deliver high-quality outcomes.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, broaden your offshore wind experience and contribute to Arup’s continued growth in this rapidly evolving market. tr th {}We are looking for people who:
Have experience in geotechnical design for fixed and/or floating offshore wind foundations, or relevant academic experience through appropriate university modules.
Can interpret ground investigations, laboratory testing and in-site test results, including basic, advanced and cyclic testing.
Bring an understanding of offshore wind design codes, constitutive models and the calibration of models against laboratory or real-world data.
Have experience or interest in numerical modelling software such as LS-DYNA or PLAXIS, particularly for soil-structure interaction and cyclic loading effects.
Are collaborative, adaptable and effective when working with clients and multidisciplinary teams, with coding skills such as Python and a relevant postgraduate qualification being advantageous.
