About the role

We are seeking an Associate Transportation Planner / Project Manager to help expand our services in the United Kingdom (UK). The position would report to our Head of Transport in the UK.  The position leads the delivery of transportation planning projects across multiple modes in the UK and will support similar projects in the US, Canada and Middle East.

Responsibilities In the role of Associate Transport Planner Planner, we'll count on you to:  Project management of transportation planning projects in the UK and support to similar projects in the Middle East, USA and Canada.

Lead the development of growth of the transportation planning practice including building a pipeline of opportunities; identify suitable teaming partners; develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients; and support the pursuit process. Assist in the development and growth of the wider HDR UK Transportation business.

Responsible for the financial performance, programme, and technical standards of projects.

Provide technical leadership on transportation planning projects.

Manage other staff with the development of deliverables including analyses and reports.

Prepare and review project deliverables, including reports and presentations including compliance with HDR project quality standards.

Lead and develop teams and individuals.

Work collaboratively with other teams in HDR, including those based in the UK, Middle East and North America.#LI-KK2

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree transport planning, civil engineering, or other applicable subjectA minimum of ten years' experience with transportation planning and urban design

Strong background in active travel, public transport, scheme development, strategies, studies and appraisals and development control, including preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.

Possess excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills

Track record of winning work across public and private sectors

Experience in building and leading teams

Experience in statutory consultation and planning appeals is a plus
