Water Treatment Engineer
Water Treatment Engineer. We are looking for an experienced Water Treatment / Water Hygiene Engineer to join a growing building services business, covering sites across London and the South East.
This is a mobile, hands-on position carrying out planned maintenance, water hygiene, treatment and remedial works across a range of commercial properties, schools and council buildings.
The RoleAs a Water Treatment Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out PPM works in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG
274 and SFG
20 - Delivering Legionella control and water treatment services
- Servicing and maintaining water softeners, filtration units, TMVs and dosing equipment
- Carrying out closed-system analysis, dosing and flushing
- Maintaining cooling towers and associated equipment
- Testing and maintaining ClO2 equipment
- Carrying out site audits and ensuring water hygiene logbooks are accurate and up to date
- Identifying and completing remedial works
- Carrying out site surveys of domestic water services where required
- Assisting with the installation, servicing and commissioning of water treatment equipment
- Assisting with water tank repairs, replacements and chlorination
- Liaising with the Help Desk regarding planned maintenance works
- Ensuring COSHH documentation and site records remain compliant

- Water hygiene compliance
A City & Guilds qualification in Risk Assessment, Water Treatment or similar is desirable.
Plumbing or mechanical engineering qualifications and knowledge of HTM 04-01 / HTM 01-05 would also be beneficial but are not essential.
You must hold a full UK driving licence.
Package- £36,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
