Project Manager; Development

Position: Project Manager (Development)
​I’m currently supporting the search for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading renewable energy organisation, focused on the development of utility-scale solar projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced renewable energy professional to take ownership of projects from early-stage development through to pre-construction, working across planning, land, technical, commercial and stakeholder work streams.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of UK solar development projects

Taking projects through the development lifecycle, from site identification to pre-construction

Managing project budgets, programmes, risks and opportunities

Coordinating planning, environmental, technical, legal and land advisors

Managing relationships with landowners, local authorities and other key stakeholders

Supporting planning conditions, variations and consenting activities

Identifying and progressing new solar development opportunities

Working closely with grid, engineering, commercial, legal and financial teams

Supporting the development of wider renewable energy and energy storage opportunities

Ideal background:

Experience with in renewable energy, energy infrastructure or a related sector

Proven project management experience, ideally within solar development

Strong understanding of planning, development or consenting processes

Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively

Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills

Willingness to travel across the UK Discipline(s):
