Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

Are you a graduate engineer who is as interested in how a product actually gets built as in how it is designed? Do you find yourself the person who ends up running the team, chasing the parts, holding the plan and making sure the thing is finished on time? Ideally you have been part of your university's Formula Student, Eco Racing or robotics team, perhaps as a team principal, chief engineer or project lead, and you now want to do that in industry.

We're looking for a graduate Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive engineering student with program management experience. Ideally you are part of your university’s Formula student team or have worked on projects related to automotive, motor sport or energy storage; and want to work in a fast-paced start up environment.

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the centre of a real engineering programme from day one. You will work directly alongside our Engineering Program Manager and our electrical, mechanical, software and production engineers, coordinating the work that turns a design into a manufactured product. You will see the whole system, not one corner of it, and you will be given real responsibility from the start.

  • Prepare concise updates for internal stakeholders, customers and project partners

  • Evidence of leading or coordinating a technical project, at university, in a student team or in industry
  • Genuine hands-on interest in engineering, practical experience of building, testing or fixing things
  • Strong organisational instincts, the ability to hold a plan in your head and keep detail under control
  • Confident written and verbal communication, comfortable challenging engineers and suppliers
  • Competent with spreadsheets, project planning tools and technical documentation
  • Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision with few documented processes
  • Self-motivated, resilient and an effective team player
  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Familiarity with battery systems, BMS, power electronics or high voltage safety
  • Exposure to CAD, PLM, ERP or MRP systems
  • Awareness of project management methods such as GANTT planning, risk management, V-model development and change control
  • Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Any interest towards an APM or PRINCE2 qualification
