Learnd is seeking a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Smart Buildings team. The ideal BMS Engineer will have certification and hands‑on experience with Trend or Siemens systems. The role involves commissioning BMS projects in the London & SE Regions, ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to specifications
Key Responsibilities Commissioning and Testing- Conduct detailed commissioning of BMS systems, including HVAC and lighting assets
- Ensure all BMS components are installed and operational as per the project specifications and design documents.
- Perform thorough testing and validation of BMS systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues during the commissioning phase, providing effective solutions.
- Utilize Trend or Siemens Systems expertise to configure, program, and test BMS components.
- Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless integration of BMS systems with other building services.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test reports, checklists, and as-built drawings.
- Regular reporting on commissioning progress, issues, and resolutions to the Project Manager and Commissioning Manager.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the commissioned systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of BMS systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of commissioning tools and software.
- Technical Proficiency:
Deep understanding of BMS systems, with hands‑on experience in commissioning. - Problem-solving:
Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to positively interact with clients and team members. - Attention to Detail:
High accuracy in testing, documentation, and reporting. - Team
Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively within a project team and support installation teams.
