Hill & Hill Recruitment are seeking a Retrofit Coordinator to work with one of our Local Authority clients based in London.
Key Responsibilities- You will play a key role in driving energy efficiency and decarbonisation programmes across the Council's housing stock and public buildings.
- You will oversee end-to-end retrofit projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, managing contractors, and providing technical assurance and advice to senior management.
- The role will involve working closely with Housing, Property, Sustainability, and Asset Management teams, as well as external contractors, consultants, and residents.
- Manage and coordinate whole-house retrofit projects from initial assessment through to completion and post-occupancy evaluation.
- Ensure full compliance with PAS 2035/2030 standards across all domestic energy efficiency initiatives.
- Oversee contractor performance, quality assurance, site inspections, and risk assessments for technical works.
- Analyse technical data, energy performance certificates (EPCs), and retrofit assessments to provide clear reporting and guidance to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal Council teams, external funding bodies, and residents to ensure smooth delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Significant experience managing retrofit, energy efficiency, or building improvement programmes within a complex organisation (Local Authority or Housing Association experience desirable).
- Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management (or equivalent PAS 2035 qualification).
- Strong knowledge of building physics, fabric-first approaches, renewable technologies, and domestic heating systems.
- Proven track record in managing contractors, project budgets, and technical compliance risks.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to evaluate complex technical data and present clear, actionable advice to senior managers.
