At Elevate, our core values shape the work environment and define our approach to everything we do. We prioritise respect, integrity, active listening, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, quality, lifelong learning, and health and safety. By embracing these values, you will become part of a community that fosters a positive and supportive culture.
We’re currently introducing an operating platform for heat networks, turning live site data into operational and compliance insight. This role owns the practical side of that promise: bringing sites onto the platform, proving the data is right, testing what we build against real plant, and landing rollouts with clients
About the role
A heat network platform is only as good as the data and setup underneath it. This role carries the setup, verification and rollout of the platform across our own operated portfolio and, as we scale, client deployments. You will commission sites onto the platform, verify instrumentation and data quality against how the plant actually behaves, test new platform capability before it reaches clients, and deliver go-lives face to face.
You will be liaising throughout with trusted partners, client interfaces, BMS and controls specialists, and our internal engineering and operations teams.
Key duties
Site onboarding
* Commission new sites onto a platform: BMS point mapping, data feeds, metering configuration and commercial setup, working with BMS and controls partners where site-side changes are needed
Data verification and instrumentation QA
* Prove each site’s data before it is trusted: sensor plausibility, metering coverage, cross-checks against plant behaviour. Diagnose instrumentation and mapping faults, coordinate the fixes, and see them through to a verified close
Platform testing
* Exercise new platform capability against live-site reality before release. Report defects precisely — symptom, evidence, expected behaviour — and verify fixes end to end
Rollout and client delivery
* Lead the client-facing side of go-lives: train operators, gather what confuses or fails, feed it back into the platform, and stay with the site until it runs cleanly, including compliance-aligned reporting to the client
Documentation
* Maintain onboarding runbooks, mapping registers and test evidence to the company’s change-control standard
About you:
* Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to sponsor visas for this position
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Physics
* Two or more years’ working knowledge of heat networks — plant rooms, HIUs, primary/secondary circuits, heat metering, and how real schemes behave
* Knowledge of CIBSE CP1 and HNTAS is essential; wider heat network regulation knowledge preferable
* CIBSE Guide M and SFG
20 maintenance principles
* Knowledge of the leading HIU brands and models — including Vital Energi VTherme, Danfoss S7 DS and SAV Flat Station among the top ten — and their practical behaviours
* Knowledge of heat metering system topologies and individual supplier features
* Knowledge of BMS systems and their principles of control
* IT literate, preferably with Python programming skills — comfortable scripting a repeatable check rather than clicking through one
* Able to work diligently and independently — verified means verified
* Client-facing and team-delivery focused
Why join us
* Company Pension Scheme
* Sickness Insurance
* Life Assurance
* 24 days plus bank holidays
* After successful completion of probation: CPD opportunities, Private Health Insurance and more
