Your new role

The successful candidate will join our growing UK Healthcare Team and be responsible for client liaison, business development, key account management and delivery of advisory and design solutions to the healthcare sector throughout the UK, with opportunities to work internationally.

We offer flexible working arrangements with candidates able to work from any of our primary offices as well as home. We have an exciting range of ongoing projects including Hillerod Hospital Denmark, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Royal Marsden and Shrewsbury & Telford Women and Children’d Hospital.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Support leadership and development of the team of Structural Engineers, within the UK Healthcare Team Manage your own projects

Manage and undertake design work from concept through to detailed design ensuring technical excellence, always maintaining outstanding levels of client service

Act in the capacity of structural engineering project manager, to allocate resource appropriately and co-ordinate the tasks so all deadlines are metWork as part of a team of Structural Engineers, frequently working with colleagues from other engineering disciplines, e.g. MEP, civils and geo-tech Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team Develop and oversee structural engineering concepts and design philosophies

Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings

Communicate designs to team members and construction sites

Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services

Visit sites to support development of structural engineering designs or review contract works in progress

Take an active role in technical groups and team meetings to support continuous improvement

Take ownership and deliver on team improvement initiatives
