Principal Electrical Engineer

VVB are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer, to be nominated and carry out the Network Rail Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) role on the Old Oak Common project, covering the full Anthro scope of Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Fire detection/suppression and Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be nominated and carry out the  duties of the Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) for the whole of the Old Oak Common MEPHFC scope.
  • Assessing and Mentoring CRE's in all aspects of applicable Network Rail standards including Engineering Management for Projects /L2/INI/02009.
  • Using initiative and confidence to put forward solutions based on sound engineering principles.
  • Challenging the brief, enabling innovative development of unambiguous engineering solutions from feasibility through to detailed design
  • Design and checking of engineering solutions
  • Production and/or review of clear, consistent, referenced calculations, reports and sketches to current CoP and Standards
  • Clear communication of design philosophy and requirements with other team members
  • Appreciation of the team's financial, quality and programme targets
  • Promoting safe working practices in all areas
  • Management of staff and projects
  • Provide guidance on design and engineering matters to all stakeholders including the leadership teams
