Mid level structural engineer

Position: 300 to 400 a day for a mid level structural engineer .
Good structural contract roles in London are rarer than the market pretends. Most are production drafting with an engineer's title attached. This is the other kind.

This is a design led structural engineering consultancy in central London, the sort of practice where the schemes are varied and the engineering is taken seriously. It needs a structural engineer with roughly four to eight years of experience for a contract position, working inside the project teams on live schemes rather than sweeping up around them.

The day to day is real design work: analysis, member and connection design, coordination with architects and services engineers, and drawings and models that hold up under scrutiny. You will need to be productive quickly, which is the honest trade of contract work, but you will be doing it alongside engineers who care about the output rather than just the deadline.

Four to eight years is a guide rather than a gate. What matters is that you can pick up a scheme mid stride, hold your own in coordination, and produce work a reviewing engineer signs off without rewriting.

The rate is between 300 and 400 per day, depending on experience.
