  • Identify structural engineering opportunities across client property portfolios.
  • Prepare scopes, fee proposals and bids.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of structural engineering work.
  • Lead complex projects from initial instruction through to completion.
  • Oversee structural surveys, investigations and remediation projects.
  • Act as the primary client contact and provide commercially focused technical advice.
  • Manage project fees, resources, quality and timescales.
  • Mentor engineers and support the growth of the team.
  • Promote the consultancy through networking, presentations and technical content.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status through MIStructE or MICE.
  • Significant structural engineering consultancy experience.
  • A proven ability to develop client relationships and generate fee income.
  • Experience preparing proposals and converting opportunities into instructions.
  • Strong experience across existing buildings, refurbishment and new-build projects.
  • Experience in structural investigations, defects and remediation.
  • Strong technical, commercial and project leadership skills.
  • Excellent report-writing, presentation and communication abilities.
  • A proactive, personable and entrepreneurial approach.

Benefits

  • Hybrid working.
  • Private healthcare following the qualifying period.
  • 25 days’ annual leave.
  • Life assurance and pension scheme.
  • Career development and professional learning support.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Chartered Engineer who wants to develop client relationships, generate work and help grow a specialist structural engineering service.
