Carry civil schemes from concept to delivery at senior level

Plenty of senior civil engineers end up running checking work for senior staff and calling it design. This role does not.

This is a Senior Civil Engineer position with a building services and engineering practice based in central London with the project diversity that location suggests. Civil engineering work covering highways, drainage, and external infrastructure. Section 278, Section 38, and Section 104 agreements where applicable, with the design responsibility you would expect at this level.

You are chartered or close to it, with strong UK consultancy experience and the project-running judgement that comes with it. You can carry a scheme from concept through to delivery, manage clients and contractors without rescue, and develop the engineers around you. Recurring themes on this brief: WELL, commercial, residential, and mixed-use. Prior exposure to those areas is useful, not mandatory.

The London team is growing its civils capability rather than simply covering a gap, so this is a role with room to shape how the discipline is run rather than slotting into a fixed process. You would be trusted with client relationships from early on, and there is a clear route to associate level for the right person as the team expands.

Salary: 56,000 to 74,000 depending on experience. Working pattern: on-site, full time, based in central London.
