Head of Engineering – Python Our client is a is a recently founded technology business that seeks to improve the way projects are delivered, using the power of deep learning. They are funded by well known names in the PE space.

My client is all about making construction more predictable via a comprehensive understanding of plan outcomes, and a crucial part of that is being able to deliver deep insights for very large construction schedules. They’re working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the world, which means having the opportunity to have true impact on the world around us.

The environment is that of Facebook or Google, relaxed open with time to think and make the right decisions. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. This is a role for techies, those who are motivated by the sharp end of technology and the possibility of making serious money doing something you are passionate about.

Day to day the Head of Engineering will:

Push the Engineering department by the setting and achieving of engineering objectives and standards of performance.

Mentor and grow senior engineers, ensuring the continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Coordinate closely with Product and others to ensure the right teams deliver at the right pace.

Hiring and Development Architectural vision

The Head of Engineering should have:

Strong mathematical and statistical skills

Experience managing engineering teams in developing and operating SaaS products in high-growth organisations.

A proven leader with experience inspiring and leading an agile team, passionate about team development and engagement.

Skilled in building bridges across the organisation and effectively managing a variety of internal stakeholders.

Familiarity with engineering tools & processes for agile development, such as Jira, Github, and CI/CD.A background in requirements-driven architecture and system design in the cloud.

Experience with Python, and Go.My client is based in the City of London but this is a Mostly Remote Role.
