06:0014:00 / 14:0022:00 / 08:0016:00 Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge within a busy and growing manufacturing environment? We are recruiting on behalf of an established food manufacturing business looking for a proactive and skilled engineer to join their Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on fault finding, problem solving and keeping production running efficiently , while also having the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and new equipment projects.
The Role Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of production and packaging machinery. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults Fault finding on motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors and pneumatic systems Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions Maintaining accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery Working closely with Production, Quality and Operations teams Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety, food safety and engineering standards About You We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer with:
An apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors and pneumatics The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics A good understanding of health & safety Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive approach to problem solving
Desirable Experience Food, FMCG, packaging or process manufacturing experience PLC fault finding Continuous improvement methodologies 18th Edition qualification Experience using CMMS systems Why Apply?
