A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding Building Services team. Working within a collaborative design environment, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services solutions from concept through to completion, gaining experience across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The RoleReporting to Senior Engineers and Associates, youll assist in the design and coordination of mechanical systems on a variety of construction projects.
Key responsibilities include:- Assisting with the design of HVAC, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.
- Producing engineering calculations and technical reports.
- Supporting the preparation of specifications and design drawings.
- Working within BIM and Revit environments.
- Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and other design disciplines.
- Attending project and client meetings.
- Supporting sustainable and low-carbon design solutions.
- Assisting in the delivery of projects from feasibility through to construction.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years experience within a building services consultancy or engineering environment.
- An understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services design principles.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ambition to progress your career within a consultancy environment.
