The role will involve supporting schemes throughout the delivery stages, alongside providing specialist Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) and sign design expertise where required.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake design and project management activities across a portfolio of small highway improvement schemes Support projects throughout the delivery stages, ensuring work progresses effectively and to required standards Provide specialist support around the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) process Undertake sign design and provide technical design expertise Support larger highway improvement projects where specialist design input is required Work with relevant internal teams and stakeholders to progress schemes through delivery Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously To be considered, you will need: HNC or NVQ Level 4 in Civil Engineering or a related subject, alongside relevant post-qualification experience OR Equivalent knowledge and experience gained within a highways and/or traffic design environment You should also have practical experience within highway improvement, traffic engineering or highway design projects.
Previous knowledge of the TRO process and traffic sign design would be particularly beneficial. This is a great opportunity for an experienced highways professional looking for their next contract assignment, with two positions currently available.
