JPG is a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering commercial and technical excellence to our clients in the UK, across all market sectors.

We are currently seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our team in Leeds to assist in the delivery of site investigation projects and the supervision of remedial works and earthworks across the UK.

The successful candidate will also provide technical support to our Infrastructure and Structural Engineering teams.

Requirements
  • A relevant science or engineering degree (e.g. geology, environmental science, civil engineering).
  • Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or other relevant subject is desirable.
  • Working towards chartered status with Geological Society, CIWEM, CIEH or similar.
  • At least two years relevant post-graduate experience. Either with an engineering consultancy or ground investigation contractor.
Objectives and

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of desk studies and factual and interpretative ground investigation reports.
  • Hazardous ground gas/groundwater monitoring and sampling.
  • Logging and sampling of soil and rock.
  • Management and supervision of siteworks and ground investigation works.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate reports.
  • Confidence when dealing with subcontractors.
  • Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Willingness to work away from home for extended periods of time.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK without restriction.
