Estimator - Civil Engineering

Fisher Civils are recruiting! We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join a well established & expanding Civil Engineering business in Hampshire The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, Groundworks and construction estimating, with the ability to accurately prepare competitive tenders, cost plans, and detailed estimates for a range of civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders. Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents. Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations. Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and pricing. Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings. Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams. Support the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission. Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases.

About You Proven experience as an Estimator. Strong knowledge of civil engineering & Groundworks methods and costs. Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively. Confident negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors. Proficient in relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software. Strong communication and organisational skills.
