Traffic Reg Officer

Our client, a highways organisation, is seeking a Traffic Regulation Officer to join its team on a contract basis.

The role will focus on drafting and preparing Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), while also supporting the permit team and contributing to effective traffic management across the highway network.

• Drafting and preparing Traffic Regulation Orders in line with highways legislation and procedures
• Supporting the preparation, review and processing of traffic management documentation
• Working as a member of the permit team to assist with the coordination of highway works
• Reviewing traffic-related information and ensuring records are accurate and up to date
• Liaising with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders regarding traffic regulation matters
• Contributing to the safe and efficient management of the highway network

• Experience in traffic regulation, highways or traffic management
• Understanding of Traffic Regulation Orders and their preparation
• Knowledge of permit schemes and highway works coordination
• Strong attention to detail when producing technical and regulatory documentation
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
• Availability to work a 40-hour week on a contract basis
