London Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 We're looking for an experienced Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing geotechnical team in London. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident technically, enjoys working closely with clients and project teams, and is ready to take on more responsibility across a range of interesting projects. The role You'll be involved in the delivery of geotechnical projects from early investigation through to design and construction, working across a varied project portfolio.

Your day-to-day work is likely to include:
Managing and delivering geotechnical projects from inception through to completion. Planning and overseeing ground investigations and interpreting site investigation data. Producing and reviewing geotechnical reports, assessments and calculations. Undertaking geotechnical design including foundations, retaining walls, slopes and earthworks. Providing technical input on a range of development and infrastructure projects. Working closely with clients, contractors, structural engineers and other consultants. Reviewing technical work and supporting the development of junior engineers.

Getting involved in proposals, fee preparation and client relationships. Taking responsibility for project budgets, programmes and delivery. About you We're looking for someone with a solid geotechnical background who is ready to operate at Associate level or is already working at this level. You'll ideally have: A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related subject. Several years' experience working within geotechnical consultancy.

Strong experience across ground investigation, interpretation and geotechnical design.

Experience with relevant design and analysis software. Good technical report writing and communication skills. Experience managing projects and working directly with clients. The ability to support and mentor more junior members of the team. Chartered status or be working towards Chartership. The role would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of geotechnical engineering but also wants the opportunity to become more involved in project management, client relationships and developing a team.
