Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor HOCHTIEF-MURPHY Joint Venture (HMJV) Across London / South East Full Time (45 hours per week) £65,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on skills and experience (plus company car or car allowance) About the role

HOCHTIEF-MURPHY Joint Venture (HMJV) are looking to expand our project team with a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to support our current projects, including on National Grid’s London Power Tunnels (LPT2) and North West London Upgrade (NWLU).

You will be required to lead and be accountable for the health and safety on our current projects and future tenders, ensuring all individuals are provided with the appropriate leadership and support.

You will advise and support HMJV Directors, Managers and Supervisors to discharge their responsibilities regarding their employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by Legislation and HMJV Procedures.

The role requires you to liaise with the Client on a regular basis, being able to establish positive relationships and trust and lead on ad-hoc health and safety projects i.e. Improvement Plans, Supervisor Development Programmes etc. as required by the Project Director and the Client.

The role required you to undertake weekly and monthly reporting, with collection of data from a variety of sources.

Please note:
This role will be site/office based 5 days per week.

It is essential that you have a relevant H&S Membership at Senior Level (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, IEMA, CQI) and have extensive experience in a H&S role, preferably in the tunnelling/heavy civil engineering/M&E industries. Experience in the HV power sector is highly desirable.

You must have a solid understanding of the requirements of the ISO
9001, ISO
14001, ISO
45001, ISO
45003, PAS
2080 and associated standards, as well as experience of management system certification.

You should have Microsoft package knowledge (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project), as well as experience in the establishment and management of reporting systems.

Commercial and contractual awareness is also required.
