Senior Structural Engineer

We are currently looking for a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structures team in central London just a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street station.

As a Senior Structural Engineer you'll be responsible for:

Project Delivery - managing project portals and common data environments, preparing complex reports, presentation documents and technical drawings suitable for planning applications and construction. You'll lead the production of construction details, specifications and technical submission packages as well as contribute to the preparation of tender proposals.

Design - leading the design development, project coordination and implementation of engineering solutions on some projects. Contributing to the development of technical excellence.

Calculations - conducting detailed and complex structural calculations using the relevant software and/or by hand in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

Coordination & Collaboration - communicating effectively with the project team, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure project success. Participate/lead in client meetings and presentations to convey design concepts and findings.

Team contribution - supporting less experienced employees with workload management and mentorship as well as leading by example.

We are looking for candidates who have a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred), along with demonstrable project delivery experience. You'll likely be a Chartered Engineer (or close) and will be skilled in software such as ETABS, SAFE, Tekla, Robot, Revit and IDEA Statica.

You’ll have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication abilities and be able to interact effectively with clients, architects and wider project teams.

With extensive experience in concrete, steel and timber design, along with excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving abilities, you'll have full knowledge of project delivery requirements across design stages, including the construction process
