Senior Drainage Engineer

Senior Drainage Engineer - London £40,000 - £50,000 Are you an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer looking for a new opportunity in London? We are working with a well-established and growing consultancy that is looking to strengthen its flood risk and drainage team with the appointment of a Senior Engineer. This is a varied role where you will work across a range of development and infrastructure projects, providing flood risk and drainage advice from early feasibility through to detailed design.

The role will involve:
Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies Surface water and flood risk modelling Hydraulic modelling using software such as Micro Drainage, Flood Modeller or TUFLOW Designing surface water drainage and SuDS schemes Supporting planning applications and liaising with Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and other stakeholders Producing technical reports and drawings Working closely with engineers and other disciplines across the wider business Supporting junior members of the team and helping to develop their technical skills

About you:

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related subject Strong experience within flood risk and drainage consultancy Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies Good understanding of UK flood risk, drainage and SuDS requirements

Experience with relevant hydraulic modelling and drainage design software Confident communicating with clients, stakeholders and colleagues Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership This is a great opportunity for a Senior Engineer who wants to work on a varied project portfolio, take on more responsibility and continue developing their career within a supportive technical team.
