Mechanical Engineer (Days Only) – FM Service Provider – Blackfriars, Central London – £53,000 per annum
A leading facilities management service provider is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a prestigious, high-spec commercial office building in the heart of the City of London.
This modern, multi-tenant development offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and is ideally located near major financial institutions and excellent transport links. This is a hands-on engineering role, ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, critical environment. You will be fully involved in day-to-day engineering tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of all building services.
Working Hours7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
(Days Only - 2s & 3s) Panama Shift
Key Responsibilities- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works efficiently via the maintenance system
- Carry out hands‑on maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems
- Diagnose and resolve plant faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Conduct regular quality checks on work, documentation, and housekeeping standards
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and job sheets
- Up to £53,000

- Fully qualified in Mechanical Engineering (recognised certification) Level 3 Required
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, ideally within critical environments (e.g. banking, corporate, or blue‑chip sites)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with multi‑skilled capabilities
- Experience working with HVAC, chillers, pumps, AHUs, and building plant systems
- Excellent communication skills
