This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Highways Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering a varied portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK.
The role offers exposure to water projects, data centres, highways schemes, and lots more, with a particular focus on highways design and associated infrastructure, including Section 278 and Section 38 agreements.
The position is open to engineers with approximately 4-6 years of post-graduate experience, with Chartered status particularly desirable. Hybrid working is available from any UK office.
The Role- Delivering highways and civil engineering design across a varied project portfolio
- Supporting infrastructure design for water and data centre developments
- Designing highways, access roads and associated infrastructure
- Working on schemes involving Section 278 and Section 38 agreements
- Producing and reviewing technical design information
- Coordinating highways requirements with wider civil and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Resolving technical design and coordination issues
- Supporting projects throughout design development and delivery
- Working closely with engineers and wider project teams
- Approximately 4-6 years of post-graduate Highways Engineering experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong highways and infrastructure design experience
- Good understanding of Section 278 and Section 38 agreements
- Experience designing access roads and associated highway infrastructure
- Ability to produce and review technical design information
- Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
- Good multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Chartered status is highly desirable
- Experience across water, data centres, highways or other major infrastructure developments would be particularly beneficial.
- £45-£55 per hour
- Initial 6-month contract
- 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid working
