Electrical Project Manager (132kv)
Our client, a leading organisation in the power utilities and power distribution sector, is seeking a Project Manager to deliver 132kV turnkey design and build projects. This permanent opportunity will support a varied portfolio across battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar, industrial and data centre developments, with hybrid working available.
We have multiple positions across the UK so we are looking for people across the Midland, South and Northern Counties.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the end-to-end delivery of 132kV design and build projects
Co-ordinating full turnkey projects from initial design through to construction, commissioning and handover
Working closely with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), contractors and project stakeholders
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
Managing project programmes, budgets, risks, resources and technical documentation
Providing effective project leadership across electrical and civil engineering activities
Monitoring progress and resolving technical, commercial and operational issues
Maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in project management within power utilities, power distribution or a related sector
Strong knowledge of 132kV systems, infrastructure and project delivery requirements
Experience working with ICPs and DNOsBackground in the delivery of high-voltage design and build or turnkey projects
Electrical or civil engineering training, qualifications or equivalent technical experience
Understanding of BESS, solar, industrial or data centre power projects
Strong leadership, communication, commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
Sound knowledge of health and safety, quality assurance and project governance
Benefits:
