We are looking for an MEP BIM Technician to join our Building Services team. You will support the delivery of Building Information Modelling (BIM) outputs across a diverse portfolio of building projects, working alongside engineers, designers and other BIM professionals.

At Grade 3, you will be developing your technical capability and taking responsibility for defined packages of BIM work within your discipline. You will work as part of a collaborative project team, with guidance and direction from more experienced colleagues, while progressively building your confidence, technical knowledge and professional experience. The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your career within Arup, working on multidisciplinary projects while building expertise in BIM processes, digital delivery and building services coordination.

• Produce coordinated MEP BIM models, drawings, schedules and other project deliverables.
• Take responsibility for defined packages of BIM work within the Building Services discipline.
• Use Autodesk Revit as a core authoring tool to develop accurate MEP models and drawings.
• Use Autodesk Navisworks and other coordination tools to support multidisciplinary model coordination and identify potential clashes or design issues.
• Use AutoCAD and other relevant software where required to support project delivery.
• Work to agreed project BIM standards, procedures and quality requirements.
• Organise and prioritise your own workload to support agreed project deadlines.
• Check your own work for accuracy and quality and participate in the checking and review of colleagues’ work where appropriate.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical and public health engineers to ensure BIM outputs accurately reflect the design intent.
• Support coordination with other disciplines and understand how your work contributes to the wider project.
• Raise technical or coordination issues with more experienced team members where guidance is required.
• Seek feedback from colleagues and apply learning to continuously improve the quality of your work.
