Description

Cameron Mackintosh Ltd and LW Entertainment are looking to recruit an Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover) for the London production of Phantom of the Opera.

We are recruiting candidates with proven experience befitting of a large-scale musical of the highest calibre.

Key Responsibilities
  • help the Stage Manager and Deputy Stage Manager coordinate the efficient management and maintenance of the stage management department;
  • assist in any preparation for the Production
  • assist with the maintenance of paperwork necessary for its smooth running;
  • once trained by the Deputy Stage Manager, cueing the Production in a consistent and accurate manner, upholding the creative intent;
  • acting as cover for the Deputy Stage Manager during holidays and unforeseen absences with regards to the calling of the show;
  • ensure that relevant rehearsal notes and production meeting notes are actioned;
  • acting on any show report notes and reporting any issues to the Production Manager;
  • be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary
  • assist with cast changes as required in conjunction with the Technical Production department
  • assist with ensuring the company’s welfare and checking that Health and Safety regulations are met in both rehearsals and the theatre;
  • being responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all set elements and props;
  • provide accurate time sheets on a weekly basis;
  • attend meetings or training courses as required;
  • ensure that, with the Production Manager, the Company Manager, Stage Manager and Deputy Stage Manager, the continuing integrity of the company and smooth running of performances throughout the Production’s life;
  • to attend promotional events such as publicity and photographic calls, press and media interviews and press junkets;
  • have a good knowledge of the Producer’s health and safety policies and ensure that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department;
  • uphold and promote at all times the Manager’s Child Protection Policy and related procedures and guidelines.
  • comply with the Producer’s policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer’s policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Safeguarding, Social Media, Data Protection.
  • undertake any other reasonable duties asked for by the Producer
