The Role

This role will own and grow some of our most important relationships in the sport and gaming verticals. You will operate at a senior client and agency leadership level and be accountable for commercial growth, as well as wider strategic and editorial partnership.

From a commercial perspective, your responsibility will be split as the primary lead across endemic sports clients (70%), while providing strategic consultancy and category expertise to non‑endemic brands (30%).

From a publishing perspective, you will serve as the linchpin between Commercial and Editorial teams – helping create commercial products and packages on SPORT bible and ODDSbible that maximise direct client revenue while also driving the broader monetisation of owned channels and audiences.

What the opportunity looks like
1. Senior Client & Agency Relationships
  • Own senior relationships at CMO / VP / Agency MD / CEO level across key clients, agencies and strategic partners within the sports and gaming ecosystem.
  • Shape long‑term strategic direction
  • Solve complex commercial challenges
  • Bring credible category expertise across audience, fandom and platform behaviour
2. Commercial Growth

Own revenue growth for the Sports & Gaming Hub / Vertical, with accountability for:

  • Retention, Expansion and long‑term partnership value.
  • Lead Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and unlock integrated opportunities across brand, social, editorial and performance, using strong category and calendar insight to drive proactive growth.
  • New commercial opportunities and product innovation
3. Strategic Leadership

Bring strategic leadership across:

  • Brand and platform strategy
  • Marketing effectiveness
  • Creativity and storytelling
  • Audience and fandom behaviour
  • Commercial trends across sport and gaming.
4. Cross‑functional and internal leadership
  • Mobilise cross‑functional teams to create best in class commercial output and category‑leading work.
  • Serve as the linchpin between Commercial and Editorial/Social Teams to identify new products, platforms or growth opportunities.
  • Set the standard for what best in class looks like – set the tone for senior behaviour, client quality and strategic decision making.
  • Manage, hire and develop a team beneath you.
Skills and experience we'd like you to have
  • Experience across either marketing, commercial partnerships, sport sponsorship, consumer or fan products, or within a sporting agency.
  • Existing relationships from within the UK sporting and real‑money gaming industry.
  • Previous experience working for sport governing bodies, professional sport teams, television, radio or digital broadcast, sporting agency or bookmakers.
  • Previous experience working across commercial products and partnerships – either from a selling perspective or an implementation perspective.
  • A thorough knowledge of the UK sport & gaming landscape as well as an understanding of the broader global sports industry.
  • A track record of selling concepts, ideas or packages (including proven relationships) and clients in the sport industry.
