The Role
Moonbug is seeking a full-time Label Operations Coordinator to support the Music team. This role is based in our London office in the heart of Camden Town. You will work with some of the biggest brands in family entertainment – one of the fastest‑growing genres in music.
The successful candidate will be proactive, self‑motivated, have a proven track record in a label or music distribution environment, be digitally confident, highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to adapt to new challenges.
You will be responsible for the operational aspects of our music releases, from managing music assets and metadata to optimising workflows. You are someone who does not simply maintain existing processes but actively looks for ways to use modern tools and automated workflows to reduce human error and scale label operations safely. You will manage the release schedule of our IPs and ensure all deadlines are met.
Responsibilities- Manage release schedules and ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of albums, EPs and singles.
- Oversee delivery of new music assets to the label team, leading the quality control of metadata in collaboration with the publishing team.
- Develop and implement new processes to optimise the day‑to‑day workflow between the music production and label operations teams.
- Maintain accurate metadata across Moonbug's sound recording catalogue, inputting, checking and updating information across internal systems and DSP platforms.
- Support the creative and strategic planning of releases, providing input to optimise content on DSPs.
- Work independently, managing and prioritising multiple high‑level projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Track the usage of our copyright across digital platforms, monitor for unauthorised use and liaise with the relevant legal departments to make claims.
- Ensure Moonbug music content is fingerprinted, claimed and monetised on social media platforms.
- Proven experience within a record label or music distribution company.
- Experience managing music release schedules and coordinating asset delivery.
- In‑depth knowledge of music metadata standards and best practices.
- Comfortable working with and manipulating large datasets, able to identify patterns, resolve discrepancies and maintain data quality at scale.
- Confident navigating DSP backend systems, content management systems and artist portals.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and G Suite.
- Exceptional time‑management and prioritisation skills with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
- A demonstrable passion for music and the entertainment industry.
- Understanding of current industry trends.
- Curiosity or hands‑on experience with AI tools, automation platforms or basic data pipelines to optimise everyday operational tasks.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, with an ability to track performance.
- Understanding of DSP analytics and performance metrics and how they can identify streaming anomalies, track content trends and delivery gaps.
- A working understanding of music contracts and licensing.
