Location: Heathrow Airport, London, United Kingdom
Minimum Age: 18
Eligibility Criteria- Age 18 or over
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Previous customer service experience (desirable)
- Valid passport with at least 12 months before expiry, unrestricted right to live and work in the UK and ability to travel globally
- Ability to obtain a US visa
- Criminal record check for all countries of residence for the last six months or more within the previous five years, with satisfactory references
- Ability to obtain and retain an airside pass
- Willingness and ability to work 24/7 shifts, including 365 days a year, covering standby duties near the base airport
- Willingness and ability to spend periods away from home
- Uniform compliance: no visible tattoos or body piercings; tattoos that can be covered; no plating or bandages in use
- Training to obtain EASA Cabin Crew Attestation (CCA) as part of the assessment process
- Eligible for BA Colleague Referral scheme; not eligible for sponsorship; not eligible for current BA Gatwick, BA Euroflyer or BA City Flyer Cabin Crew colleagues
- Medical and physical fitness meeting regulatory requirements; attend BA Health Service Medical Assessment
- Height requirement up to 2.01m and reach requirement of at least 2.01m; minimum height 1.575m
- CPR ability under specified constraints (kneeling and compressions)
- Lifting 9kg from 195cm height and performing emergency tasks
- Water competency: treading water, pulling self to raft, assisting in water, swimming 50m, treading for 3 minutes
- Handling heavy trolleys and jump‑seat harnesses without seatbelt extension
- Evacuation practice and compliance with safety regulations (e.g., slide descent, emergency smoke hood)
- Safety reporting, adherence to BA safety culture and compliance with regulations, standards and procedures
- Delivery of world‑class service excellence in line with BA service standards and behaviours
- Compliance with all corporate policies and legislation
Basic salary £17,640 per annum with potential to earn up to £28,000 with flying/duty pay and a tax‑fee subsistence allowance. Includes staff travel benefits from day one.
