Job Summary

We are looking for a Programming Producer, Digital to join the National Theatre's Digital team on a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract.

The Programming Producer works closely with the Senior Programming Producer and Assistant Producers to deliver the programme for the National’s digital activity, including NT Live, NT at Home, NT Collection and other digital distribution opportunities. The role involves ensuring strong relationships with internal NT departments, co‑producers and agents, successful contract negotiation, timely administration of all projects, overseeing contracting of co‑producers, artists, show staff, stage management and licensing of commercial music, images and other third‑party rights, and line‑management of an Assistant Producer.

• Extensive experience producing in theatre, including responsibility for line‑producing live stage shows in a producing theatre organisation or venue.
• Experience in contract negotiation with artists and agents across Union‑agreed, in‑house and standalone terms.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, responding swiftly to emerging issues while maintaining existing timelines.
• Knowledge and passion for theatre and interest in digital distribution.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, with the ability to deal calmly, confidently and personably with people at all levels and manage stakeholder expectations when required.
• A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise and remain flexible in a busy and changeable working environment.
