Event Manager / Planner
Overview
The role sits within the event management section of QM Venues, responsible for coordinating events that have been confirmed. It involves finalising details with the client, preparing event plans, coordinating with internal service teams and ensuring event requirements are delivered. The role acts as a link between QM Venues Sales and the event booker and serves as the subject matter expert for room layouts, catering, audio visual, risk assessments, staffing requirements and additional services.
Responsibilities- Finalize event details with clients (internal and external)
- Prepare event plans and layouts
- Coordinate with internal service teams to deliver event requirements
- Act as a subject matter expert on room layouts, catering, audio visual, risk assessments, staffing and additional services
- Relevant experience in events or hospitality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience working in a customer‑focused environment
- Knowledge of event booking systems (QM use Kinetics)
- Desirable: experience within the higher education sector
