Festival Production and Box Office Interns UK Jewish Film

London

Home Festival Production and Box Office Interns

UK Jewish Film exhibits the best of world Jewish cinema in the UK and internationally, provides support and training to new and emerging filmmakers, and delivers education events for a wide variety of audiences. The UK Jewish Film Festival (5 to 15 November) this year celebrates its 30th anniversary and will be in cinemas nationwide and online. It is a BAFTA-qualifying festival and the largest festival of its type in Europe.

Placements are designed to provide successful candidates with hands‑on experience in the production and/or marketing of film festivals. Internships provide more structured opportunities for the right candidates, and many of our former interns have gone on to successful careers in the film and TV industries.

UKJF are currently looking for enthusiastic interns to cover two key areas during the UK Jewish Film Festival 2026:

  • A Festival Production Intern will help our Festival Producer, especially with guest coordination, which includes managing travel, accommodation, and gift packages for the guests attending our festival. As well as this, the Festival Production Intern will help with schedules and film testing.
  • A Box Office Intern will help our Box Office Manager with the overseeing of our ticketing platform. This includes managing sales online and over the phone, maintaining spreadsheets for box office analytics, looking after pages on the platform Eventive, and helping coordinate complimentary tickets for sponsors, speakers, and other special guests.

Under their supervision, as well as through interaction with other team members, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to engage in a full spectrum of entry‑level tasks, gaining an understanding of how the organisation works as well as acquiring practical knowledge and skills required in the film industry.

Placements are awarded to enthusiastic candidates who wish to build on their skills in this environment and gain a broader understanding through practical experience.

To gain the full experience, interns are strongly encouraged to participate in the entire range of activities. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a willingness to develop in all aspects of the department’s work.

The position will start anytime between September to November. Trainees are expected to work a minimum of two days a week until the beginning of the festival, when hours will increase to accommodate for the festival. As the Festival takes place during November, you must be available during that time.

UK Jewish Film is an inclusive working environment and operates on a hybrid working basis. However, during the festival, interns are expected to work some unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends, to help cover the 10‑day Festival in venues across London.
