DescriptionJob Description Cameron Mackintosh Ltd are looking for a talented Stage Manager (Job Share) for the London Production of Hamilton.
We are recruiting candidates of the highest calibre with proven knowledge and experience of large-scale musicals.
This is an equal part job share opportunity with a current expectation of 30hrs per week. Structure, pay breakdown and contract terms will be discussed at the point of interview.

Key Responsibilities- To work with your job share counterpart and co-ordinate the efficient management of the Stage Management department
- . Ensure there is a smooth and constant line of communication between yourself, the Stage Manager counterpart and the department
- Assist in any preparation required for the Production
- Encourage and nurture the working practice and development of all members of the department and maintain the department’s integrity at all times;
- Co-ordinate and manager the smooth running of all rehearsals
- Maintain the paperwork necessary for the Production’s smooth running;
- Ensure all rehearsal and show bibles are kept up to date
- Ensure that relevant rehearsal notes and production meeting notes are actioned and preparing rehearsal schedules as required;
- Be prepared to teach or learn any show plots when necessary
- Generate show reports and report any issues to the Production Manager;
- Liaising with the Company Manager and Production Manager for hiring of all staff within the department
- Attend meetings or training courses as required;
- Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all set elements and props;
- Run cast changes as required in conjuncture with the Technical Production department
- Create and supervise all department staffing rotas and providing accurate time sheets on a weekly basis;
- Assist with ensuring the company’s welfare and checking that Health and Safety regulations are met in both rehearsals and the theatre;
- In conjunction with the Company Manager/Production Manager, ensure that SOLT/Equity contracts are adhered to and that, wherever possible, no company breaks are missed including within the stage management team;
- Work with the Production Manager and Company Manager to ensure the continuing integrity of the company and smooth running of performances throughout the Production’s life;
- Promote a positive and collaborative relationship with all theatre staff
- Have a good knowledge of the Producer’s health and safety policies and ensure that requirements in relation to health and safety are met within the department;
- Uphold and promote at all times the Manager’s Child Protection Policy and related procedures and guidelines.
- Comply with the Producer’s policies and procedures in force from time to time, including but not limited to the Producer’s policies on Equal Opportunities, Bullying and Harassment, Safeguarding, Social media, Data Protection.
