The Master Control Room includes 5 transmission suites and monitors over 800 HD lines in & out of the building. With its own satellite farm and direct links to many of the leading sports stadia in the UK, IMG Studios is at the centre of sports and entertainment production and distribution. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Studios business as a Live Broadcast Operations Supervisor on a permanent basis.

This is an incredible opportunity to work with prestigious clients such as the Formula 1, UEFA, CBS and Wimbledon! This is a technical and rewarding role where you will be responsible for assisting IMG facilities to deliver their technical television requirements. You will be a key player in ensuring things run smoothly and efficiently for our clients and that all their production needs are met.

• To ensure the smooth running and high quality of service for all Live operations.
• Ownership of the Live Operations with IMG Studios.
• The supervision of MCR operators, Engineers, and relevant freelance staff.
• To be the point of reference for Live Operations on a day-to-day basis.
• Work closely with the Live Technical Operations manager to ensure the smooth running of Live operations.
• Liaise closely with the Delivery Operations, commercial and engineering teams to ensure that the clients are supported, pre, during and post events.
• Ensure that Live Operations and technical facilities meet client requirements and expectations.
• Highlight potential issues and offer solutions to provide the required services.
• Ensure all interested parties are fully informed regarding any issues that arise and suggest steps to prevent re‑occurrence.
• Creation of reports when incidents arise and distribute to all relevant parties.
• Ensure that there is sufficient knowledge and skill base available throughout the Live Operations team.
• Document and communicate technical and operational procedures.
• Document and communicate operational issues.
• To be an approachable and highly knowledge point of reference for all aspects of Live Operations for IMG Studios and clients thereof.
• Recommend operational improvements to the Live Operations department.
• Recommend potential technical strategies for the Live Operations department.
