Sheridan Maine is seeking a Corporate Tax Semi‑Senior to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm in Central London. Key responsibilities of the Corporate Tax Semi-Senior:
  • Prepare corporation tax computations, tax returns, and deferred tax calculations for senior team members’ portfolios.
  • Review draft financial statements and identify any tax matters arising.
  • Handle HMRC correspondence, including preparing letters for senior review.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the tax department and other teams.
  • Assist with routine compliance work, including payment advice letters.
  • Liaise with audit teams to gather necessary information and resolve queries.
  • Update departmental work trackers and systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop technical knowledge of tax legislation and research methods, using HMRC guidance, Tolleys, and other resources.
To be considered for the role of Corporate Tax Semi-Senior:
  • 12–18 months’ experience in corporate tax, including preparation of corporate tax computations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and work accurately under pressure.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive.
