Sheridan Maine is seeking a Corporate Tax Semi‑Senior to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional to gain hands‑on experience in corporate tax compliance, develop technical knowledge, and work within a supportive, collaborative environment alongside experienced colleagues.

- Prepare corporation tax computations, tax returns, and deferred tax calculations for senior team members’ portfolios.
- Review draft financial statements and identify any tax matters arising.
- Handle HMRC correspondence, including preparing letters for senior review.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the tax department and other teams.
- Assist with routine compliance work, including payment advice letters.
- Liaise with audit teams to gather necessary information and resolve queries.
- Update departmental work trackers and systems to ensure accuracy.
- Develop technical knowledge of tax legislation and research methods, using HMRC guidance, Tolleys, and other resources.
- 12–18 months’ experience in corporate tax, including preparation of corporate tax computations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Able to prioritise workload effectively and work accurately under pressure.
- Self‑motivated and proactive.
