Financial Reporting Accountant
Location:
London (3 days per week)
Employment basis:
Permanent – full-time. Hybrid working supported; on-site required 3 days per week.
- Salary: £50,000, dependent on experience, plus bonus, market‑leading pension and flexible benefits.
- Annual Leave: 28 days a year plus bank holidays.
- Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus.

You will support the Senior Reporting Manager and Finance Leadership Team to deliver robust financial reporting for the Sizewell C project, one of the UK’s largest nuclear power new‑build projects. The role requires timely and accurate reporting to inform decision‑making across a complex, high‑profile mega project.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting.
- Produce forecast financial statements with consolidated view.
- Reconcile high‑risk balance‑sheet accounts, resolve reconciling items and improve auditability of schedules.
- Prepare shareholder reporting, adapting to new investor requirements.
- Maintain the Finance Manual and document processes and procedures.
- Document and test internal controls.
- Assist in finance automation projects.
- Support the preparation of interim and annual statutory financial statements.
- Facilitate a smooth audit process.
- Contribute to finance transformation projects to build best‑in‑class finance systems and processes.
- Uphold strong internal controls and assurance around consolidation and hedge accounting.
- 1–3 years of non‑audit legal‑qualification experience (ACCA, ACA, CIMA); degree level qualification.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Hands‑on experience in consolidation and inter‑company.
- Commercial and business experience.
- Experience in business partnering and treasury topics.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with system implementation.
- Experience working with government finance teams.
- Experience with Blackline or similar tools.
