Mondrian Alpha has partnered with a leading Hedge Fund, seeking a Tax Specialist to join its growing UK/EMEA Tax team in London. This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a globally recognised firm, supporting tax compliance, process improvements, and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure best‑in‑class tax management and reporting.

Reporting to the regional tax leadership, the Tax Specialist will be responsible for corporate tax compliance, indirect tax (VAT) filings, withholding tax processes, and transfer pricing reviews. The role also involves conducting internal reconciliations, reviewing tax law changes, and assisting with audits and regulatory inquiries. The Tax Specialist will work closely with the global Tax team to support ongoing business initiatives and improve tax processes across the firm’s operations.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of post‑qualification tax experience, ideally gained in‑house within a financial services firm or at a leading accountancy firm. A strong understanding of UK taxation is required, with exposure to European tax regimes being highly desirable. Candidates should have a solid foundation in direct and indirect taxation principles, transfer pricing, and double tax treaties. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment are essential.

Experience with automating tax processes and streamlining reporting workflows will be an advantage.
