The Team:The Private Market Valuations team is a market leader in supporting our clients with independent valuations of illiquid debt and private equity investments. Since inception the department has grown rapidly, with analyst teams in London, New York, Dallas, Singapore, and India serving over 300 institutional investors worldwide across a range of sectors from start‑up to mature and distressed.
The Impact:The Private Markets represent a high‑investment area with clients increasingly seeking independent specialists such as S&P Global to support them in the valuation process. This role offers a great opportunity to work in a high‑growth space and directly engage with leading clients in private equity, private credit, infrastructure, hedge funds, and institutional investors.

- Perform valuations on a wide range of illiquid investments across industries and geographies using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
- Present analyses and conclusions through written reports and handle valuation queries from clients
- Contribute to design and enhancement of financial models used to perform valuations
- Train and coach junior analysts
- Work with management to build and maintain client relationships
- Attend relevant industry events to broaden knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry
- Qualified accountant or CFA charter holder (or in process of obtaining qualification)
- Multiple years’ experience constructing and reviewing valuation models including DCF, comparable company/bond, PWERM, and option pricing models
- Experience managing delivery of valuations and responding to client challenges
- Knowledge of software packages including MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Ability to adapt and support new business opportunities
