Corporate Accountant Cambridge Permanent Hybrid  Overview A technology-focused investment firm is seeking an ACA/ ACCA qualified accountant, to join a hands-on, high-impact finance team. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a central role in the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strong financial control.

Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and timely quarterly management and statutory accounts for corporate entities. Lead the annual audit process, acting as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. Manage the financial reporting calendar, ensuring all regulatory and internal deadlines are met. Drive the annual and rolling budget and forecast process, including scenario planning and stakeholder collaboration. Support the Head of Finance in enhancing budget models, reporting, and financial insight.

Maintain robust financial controls, governance, and best accounting practices across the business. Oversee corporate tax filings and statutory compliance with HMRC and Companies House. Review and approve team outputs while driving continuous improvement in systems and processes. Candidate Profile Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with a strong audit background, ideally making a second move within industry. 3
-5 years of proven experience producing high-quality management and financial accounts, with a solid understanding of tax and statutory requirements. Highly detail-oriented and numerate, with a strong focus on accuracy and control. Advanced user of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and process improvement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to quickly interpret complex financial information. Confident business partner and communicator, able to influence stakeholders and work effectively across teams.
