Your role

Join a collaborative, high‑performing finance team and play a key role in shaping our credit control strategy across the Nordic region.

We’re looking for a proactive and people‑focused Credit Control Team Leader to support our Credit Control Manager and help drive the success of the Nordic credit function. In this role, you’ll combine hands‑on credit management with team leadership, process optimisation, and relationship‑building across the business.

If you enjoy improving processes, motivating teams, and making a real impact on cashflow and risk management, this role is for you.

Main responsibilities

As a key member of our Credit Control team, you will:

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching, and performance management for the Credit Control team to ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Motivate, support, and develop the team through regular one‑to‑one meetings, goal setting, and ongoing training.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Manage Credit Risk & Collections

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to maximise cash collection while minimising credit risk.
  • Take ownership of a defined customer credit portfolio, ensuring timely payments and swift resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Analyse and resolve credit risks and problematic accounts, escalating when needed.

Ensure Compliance & Process Excellence

  • Ensure full adherence to the company credit policy, including appropriate credit limit management and customer risk assessment.
  • Oversee the end‑of‑collection-path process and manage escalations.
  • Contribute ideas and implement new processes to strengthen the credit management function.

Reporting & Systems

  • Own month‑end credit reporting and ensure accurate preparation, reconciliation, and analysis of AR and credit data using SAP and Business Objects (BO).
  • Support key projects and participate in system or process testing when required.
Main requirements
  • Bring proven management experience within a Credit Control environment and possess strong working knowledge of credit control procedures.
  • Are an Influential team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across the business, particularly with Customer Service and Sales teams.
  • Can build strong relationships with external customers
, managing complex issues with confidence and resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Embrace change positively and have a track record of driving improvements in credit risk management and operational processes.
  • Are proactive, reliable, and adaptable
, with a positive mindset and willingness to support the team where needed.
  • Have the ability to set ambitious yet achievable targets
, monitor team progress, and help maintain a high-performance culture.
  • Excel at prioritising tasks
, remaining calm and effective under pressure, and consistently delivering to deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical skills
, enabling you to identify trends, assess risks, and propose effective solutions.
  • Have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
, particularly strong Excel skills, and ideally experience using SAP
    .
  • Preferably bring experience from a Wholesale or Retail environment (a plus, not a must).
  • Fluent written and spoken English
. Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish preferable.
