Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a well-established and fast-paced organisation in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build strong all-round accounts experience within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support both client-related and office accounting activities, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Accounts
• Undertake daily banking activities, including daily reconciliations
• Prepare and process cheques
• Process transactions
• Support internal stakeholders with ledger queries
• Assist with the annual regulatory accounts audit

• Office Accounts
• Undertake daily banking activities, including daily reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
• Support the annual audit process
• Manage petty cash and credit card transactions
• Maintain the creditors ledger
• Produce ad hoc reports as required

You will be a proactive and reliable team player with strong communication skills and the ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a busy, high-pressure environment.

You will also bring:

• Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification
• Experience working within a busy accounts or finance team
• Working knowledge of Xero
• Good Excel skills
