Your RoleSymbolic Capital is seeking a skilled Digital Assets Trader / Market Maker for the Global Time Zone, bolstering our core Market Making operations, with a focus on altcoins, DeFi protocols, and emerging markets. Background and experience in Web3 is a MUST.
Job Description- Oversee the rollout of new strategies, client integrations, and market expansions.
- Maintain a comprehensive overview of all market making activities.
- Execute trades in crypto spot, perpetuals, options, and related hedging in crypto and FX.
- Handle trading operations such as asset rebalancing across CEXs, DEXs, and counter parties for efficient settlements.
- Implement proactive risk management through spread adjustments, parameter configurations, and setting exposure limits on trading systems.
- Manage treasury operations, coordinating with finance on asset tracking and reconciliation.
- Identify and report technical or financial issues, collaborating with development teams for enhancements.
- Serve as an internal expert on trading strategies and market intelligence.
- Optimize trading strategies in response to real-time market conditions and volatility.
- Analyze order books, market trends, and performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
- 3+ years of professional or demonstrable personal experience in cryptocurrency trading and market making across CEXs and DEXs
- Prior experience with market making for top projects
- Familiarity with traditional finance asset classes such as options, futures, and FX, gained through prior roles, education, or self-directed learning.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Proficient with order books, market microstructures, and trading mechanics.
- Capable of making swift, high-stakes decisions in high-pressure scenarios.
- Tech-savvy with a strong grasp of digital assets, blockchain ecosystems (especially CEXs and DEXs), and financial market dynamics.
- Meticulous attention to detail and adaptability in dynamic settings.
- Collaborative team player with ownership mindset.
