Financial Director

Demonstrable track record of delivering profit and improving financial performance is essential plus a background in beauty, FMCG, manufacturing, and/or consumer brands.

This is a pivotal Finance Director appointment at a critical stage of growth. The business is scaling quickly and preparing for its next phase of investment and expansion. We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Director who has consistently delivered profit, strengthened margins, and driven financial performance in high-growth environments.

As Finance Director, you will lead the end-to-end finance function, combining strategic leadership with hands‑on execution. You will work closely with the executive team to shape commercial strategy, improve profitability, strengthen governance, and ensure the business is financially positioned for scale, investment, and potential transactions.

This role requires a finance leader who goes beyond reporting numbers – someone who actively drives margin improvement, cash optimisation, and bottom‑line performance.

• Lead and develop the finance function, embedding scalable processes, systems, and controls
• Own financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning
• Deliver clear, actionable insight on profitability, margins, cash flow, and growth performance
• Drive initiatives that improve financial performance and enhance profit delivery
  
  Oversee management accounts, statutory reporting, tax, audit, and compliance
• Act as finance lead for investor readiness, private equity engagement, and M&A activity
• Build robust financial models, forecasts, and data rooms
• Partner with operations and supply chain on COGS, inventory, and manufacturing finance
• Present financial performance and strategic insight to the board and senior stakeholders

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Background in beauty, FMCG, manufacturing, or consumer brands
• Experience in high‑growth, founder‑led or investor‑backed environments
• Proven senior finance leadership with strong commercial acumen
• Demonstrable track record of delivering profit and improving financial performance
• Hands‑on across management accounting, cash flow management, forecasting, and controls
• Exposure to private equity, fundraising, or M&A
• Confident stakeholder manager with advanced Excel and financial modelling skills

• Shape the financial foundations of a fast‑growing consumer brand
