Head of Finance | Saas Retail

Hybrid: 2 Days in Office

Join a fast‑paced, growing company as Head of Finance, reporting directly to the Founder.

This role will design and lead the accounting infrastructure, from closing the books to strengthening internal controls, forecasting, and delivering clean, timely financial reporting.

As Head of Finance, you will design and lead the company’s accounting infrastructure. You’ll own full‑cycle accounting, implement GAAP controls, manage tax compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting. This is a hands on role with significant autonomy, visibility, and strategic influence.

• Own full‑cycle accounting operations: AR/AP, GL, payroll, revenue recognition, and monthly close
• Build and enforce financial policies and GAAP‑aligned internal controls to support scale
• Produce and maintain accurate financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Help lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow modelling; deliver financial models and scenario planning
• Manage all tax compliance, including filings and coordination with external tax advisors
• Oversee expense management systems and ensure accurate cost tracking across departments
• Support investor and board reporting
• Support the managing of relationships with banks, auditors, and vendors; own annual audit and tax prep
• Moving the finance function from outsourced to in‑house

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; startup or growth‑stage preferred.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and audit processes.
• Experience building and scaling financial and accounting operations, with a focus on process optimization and automation.
• Strategic thinker with a willingness to execute and build from the ground up
• Fluency in accounting systems (Net Suite, Quick Books Online, etc.)
• Experience in Mercury, Rippling, Looker (BI),
