Interim Finance Transformation Analyst

Corporate Services Transformation Programme - Higher Education
6-Month Contract
£(Apply online only) per day Outside IR35

A major transformation programme is seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Analyst to provide senior-level financial modelling and commercial insight across a large-scale Corporate Services Transformation initiative.
This is a high-impact role supporting strategic decision-making, with particular focus on outsourcing and operating model evaluation. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping robust, evidence-based financial cases to support governance and steering committee decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop cost-benefit analyses comparing in-house, hybrid and outsourced delivery models
Build detailed financial scenarios, including ROI, NPV, payback and Total Cost of Ownership models
Establish and validate current cost baselines across in-scope services
Design financial inputs for PQQ and RFP documentation, including pricing templates
Evaluate supplier financial proposals, identifying assumptions, risks and long-term implications
Model transition, mobilisation and exit costs across full contract life cycles
Conduct sensitivity and stress testing across pricing and volume assumptions
Support pricing mechanism design (FTE-based, transaction-based, outcome-based models)
Benchmark supplier pricing and assess financial risk exposure
Produce clear, executive-level financial summaries for governance forums

Essential Experience

Extensive experience supporting large transformation, outsourcing or procurement programmes
Advanced financial modelling capability
Experience designing and evaluating financial components of PQQ/RFP processes
Strong ability to interrogate and challenge supplier pricing structures
Confident stakeholder engagement at senior leadership level

Experience with in complex public-sector or regulated environments
Exposure to shared services, managed services or large-scale outsourcing
Familiarity with transition and mobilisation cost modelling
Excellent written and presentation skills
